In the Arabic language, where the word Rizq conveys the meaning of daily bread and sustenance, it is also used to denote all forms of divine bounties. Accordingly, within the Holy Quran, it has been utilized for wealth and assets, for the provisions of life, and has also been used for guidance and spiritual gnosis (Hidayat-o-Ma’rifat). Briefly, we can state that the word Rizq is used for every single bounty bestowed upon the servants by Allah Almighty. Allah Almighty has commanded mankind in general, and Muslims in particular, to distinguish between Rizq-e-Halal (lawful sustenance) and Rizq-e-Haram (unlawful sustenance); earning a Halal livelihood and abstaining from Haram is just as essential as practicing Namaz, Roza (fasting), and other foundational obligations (Faraiz)… Yet, it is astonishing that even within Muslim societies, few people distinguish between Halal and Haram. Indeed, this astonishment increases further when the youth of Muslim society raise questions like, “Why is this thing Haram? What is the harm in using it?”—even though it is far beneath the dignity of a Muslim to raise such questions after accepting the law revealed by Allah Almighty.
Generally, man remains so absorbed in the pursuit of Rizq that he becomes utterly oblivious to the concern for death and the Hereafter (Akhirat). The obsession with earning wealth takes such a hold that, without distinguishing between Halal and Haram, he remains solely occupied in accumulating riches, virtually forgetting his Creator, Master, and Raziq (The Sustainer/Provider of Rizq). Perhaps this is the very reason why, despite such immense labor and effort, economic distress is manifest before everyone today; almost everyone is crying over the lack of Rizq, inflation, illness, and the lament that “ends do not meet.” If only Muslims, while striving to attain Rizq, had also minded the Divine Commands (Ahkam-e-Ilahi), their state today would have been vastly different. Read this Hadith with an eye of admonition:
The Sovereign of Prophet-hood,
the Moon of Messenger ship صلَّی اللہ تعالٰی علیہ واٰلہٖ وسلَّم declared: “Whoever has the concern of the Akhirat, Allah Almighty makes his heart self-sufficient (Ghani), consolidates his scattered affairs for him, and the world comes to him humbled. And whoever has the concern of the world, Allah Almighty places destitution right before his eyes, scatters his consolidated affairs, even though he will only receive that much of the world (wealth) which has been predestined for him.” (Tirmidhi, Vol. 4, p. 211, Hadith: 2473)
For the Abundance of Rizq
Reciting this blessed verse (Ayat-e-Mubaraka) abundantly after Namaz is highly beneficial for Rizq.
Wazifa of the Name Ya-Wahhabu
It was the routine of the elders (Buzurg) that whenever they faced any need (Hajat), they would perform Wudu after midnight, offer 3 prostrations (Sajdah), then raise their hands and recite یا وھابُ (Ya-Wahhabu) 100 times. They would perform this practice (Amal) for three days and their Hajat would be fulfilled. Even today, if any person of faith (Sahib-e-Imaan) performs this Amal, Insha-Allah their needs will be met and Rizq will be granted beyond measure.
For the Expansiveness of Rizq
With the intention of the expansiveness of Rizq, this should be recited 11 times after the Maghrib prayer, starting from the first Friday of the lunar month (Noochandi Juma) until the next 40 consecutive Fridays.
Amal of Surah Fatiha for Kushadagi-e-Rizq
For the opening and expansiveness of Rizq (Kushadagi-e-Rizq), reciting Surah Fatiha after every Namaz and supplicating brings blessings (Barakat) in sustenance.
The Method (Amal): The method of reciting Surah Fatiha for this purpose is to recite it 40 times after the Fajr prayer, 30 times after the Zuhr prayer, 15 times after the Asr prayer, 10 times after the Maghrib prayer, and 5 times after the Isha prayer. After reciting it each time, make Dua to Allah Almighty to grant grace, goodness, and blessings (Khair-o-Barakat) in Rizq. Insha-Allah, the Dua will certainly be accepted and livelihood will increase. Furthermore, at the place of work—meaning the shop, office, or factory—one should recite Surah Fatiha three times in a state of Wudu, blow (Dum) onto water, and sprinkle that water on all four corners of the business premises. Insha-Allah Ta’ala, Rizq will increase day by day.
Wazifa and Naqsh of Ya-Basitu for Rizq
If someone is unemployed, or if their shopkeeping or business is not running, they should abundantly recite the blessed Name یَابَاسِطُ (Ya-Basitu) and make Dua to Allah for this objective. By the command of Allah, expansiveness will be created in Rizq. For these very purposes, one should also write two copies of the talismanic square (Naqsh) of this blessed Name using saffron (Zafran); fix one above the threshold/doorframe of the shop or business place, and tie the second on their right arm. Insha-Allah Ta’ala, there will be expansiveness in Rizq and livelihood.
For Abundance of Rizq
For the abundance and plenitude of Rizq, reciting this blessed verse 101 times every day after the Fajr prayer brings swift benefit by the grace of the Creator (Bafazl-e-Bari Ta’ala), and Allah Almighty generates means for the abundance of Rizq from the Veil of the Unseen (Parda-e-Ghaib). (Translation: And Allah provides sustenance to whomsoever He wills without measure).
The Operation for Progression of Rizq Attributed to Hazrat Khwaja Gharib Nawaz RTA ؒ
This Amal is attributed to Hazrat Khwaja Gharib Nawaz ؒ. The person who, after the obligatory prayers (Farz Namaz), recites Surah Ikhlas three times and Darood Shareef three times, then recites this verse once and blows (Phoonk) facing towards the sky, the True Lord (Haq Ta’ala) will bestow three blessings upon him: longevity of life, abundance of wealth and assets, and entry into Paradise (Jannat) without accountability.

The blessed verse is:
The Direct Target (Teer-ba-Hadaf) Amal of Surah Yaseen for Rizq
For Rizq, after reciting Yaseen… Bi-haqqi Yaseen Sallallahu Alayhi wa Aalihi wa Sallam bi-haqqi Yaseen). Then, begin reciting Surah Yaseen, and upon reaching every Mubeen, these words should be repeated seven times, and Surah Yaseen should be read seven times. Perform this exact Amal three times daily.
