Amal for Qaza-e-Hajaat

Allah Tabarak-wa-Ta’ala declares:

(Surah Al-Baqarah: 156)

Translation: Those who, when a misfortune befalls them, say: “Indeed, we belong to Allah and indeed to Him we are returning.”

The etiquette and methods for reciting this Ayat-e-Mubaraka have been established by the Sufiya-e-Kiram and Auliya-e-Izam, from which millions of human beings have benefited. If you are afflicted by any distress or calamity, bring the method detailed below into practice, placing full reliance upon Allah with complete sincerity of heart and intention. Insha-Allah Ta’ala, the problem will be resolved.

Observe a Roza (fast) on a Thursday during Urooj-e-Mah (the waxing phase of the moon). The period up to the 13th night of the lunar month is called Urooj-e-Mah; observe the fast on any Thursday falling within this duration. In the evening, perform Iftar using only dates (Khajoor) or any sweetmeat (Shireeni), and do not consume any other food substance; however, water may be drunk if necessary. Do not utilize betel leaf (Paan), Biri, or cigarettes at all. After the Maghrib prayer, recite this Ayat-e-Mubaraka exactly 101 times: اِنَّا لِلّٰهِ وَ اِنَّاۤ اِلَیْهِ رٰجِعُوْنَ

It is better to recite Darood Shareef at the beginning and the end, and to recite Bismillah Shareef with every single repetition. Otherwise, it must be recited at least once at the very beginning. After completing the recitation 101 times, recite Darood Shareef 11 times. Following this, with utmost Khushu-o-Khuzu (humility and devotion), supplicate before the Bargah-e-Izadi (Divine Presence), saying: O Allah! Grant me deliverance from this calamity…—explicitly mentioning the specific distress for which the Amal was initiated, making Dua with profound respect. On the subsequent days, recite the same Ayat-e-Mubaraka 101 times once at any convenient time during the day or night. There is no need to observe the fast again. Remain hopeful of the Mercy of Allah (Rahmat-e-Ilahi). Insha-Allah Ta’ala, even if the calamity is as massive as a mountain, its resolution will manifest from the Ghaib (the Unseen). Do not increase the specified count under any circumstances.
