Reciting Durood-o-Salam (blessings and salutations) is an act so uniquely beloved and divinely accepted that through it, sins are forgiven, healing (Shifa) is acquired, and the heart and soul attain ultimate purification. إِنَّ اللَّهَ وَمَلَائِكَتَهُ يُصَلُّونَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ۚ يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا صَلُّوا عَلَيْهِ وَسَلِّمُوا تَسْلِيمًا (Surah Al-Ahzab, 33:56) Translation: "Indeed, Allah and His angels send blessings upon the Prophet. O you who have believed, ask [Allah to confer] blessings upon him and ask [Allah to grant him] peace in abundance."
This blessed verse is an explicit, divine encomium (Naat) of the Master of all Messengers, Sayyid-ul-Mursaleen ﷺ. It reveals that Allah Ta'ala continuously sends His special mercy (Rahmah) upon His Beloved ﷺ, and His angels constantly supplicate for blessings and mercy in his honor. Therefore, O Muslims! You too must send Durood-o-Salam (blessings and salutations) upon him, invoking divine mercy and peace upon his exalted station.
